Yokowo has developed a waterproof blade and receptacle connector with floating contacts to absorb mating misalignment, vibration or shock.

Spring-loaded dual-beam contacts absorb contact displacement – 0.3mm laterally (left-right in the photo insert), for example. The base of the connector is ~22mm long (including small tags).

Contacts are rated at 3A with 50mΩ contact resistance and a life of 2,000 mating cycles.

Waterproofness is IPx7 (submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, said Yokowo) is from the outside world into the enclosure when they are panel mounted, and not between mated contacts and the outside world.

Application are foreseen connecting batteries to rugged tablet PCs, drones or data terminals – preventing water ingress damage to the cells or electronic components.

The blade part is TBP-2727XS-5-30-0000

The receptacle is TBR-6028XF-5-30-0000
