Following the decision to no longer include a Mobile Connector with every new vehicle purchase, a new lower priced bundle has been added to the Tesla Shop.

As promised last week by Elon Musk, the new mobile connector costs $200 USD, or $255 CAD. Even though the price is cheaper, you can actually get more for your money.

Previously the Mobile Connector came with just one adapter that allowed you to plug into any household outlet, also referred to as a NEMA 5-15 adapter.

This charging option required no additional expense to upgrade your home’s electrical panel, but is slow and can only add 2-3 miles (3-5km) of range per hour.

Now you can also opt to add the popular NEMA 14-50 adapter at no additional cost. This allows you to plug in to a 240V outlet and achieve much higher charging speeds of around 30 miles (50km) per hour.

Unfortunately the Mobile Connector is currently out of stock. According to the product description it is expected to begin shipping in August 2022.

At the same time, Tesla has also lowered the price of the Wall Connector to $400 USD or $510 CAD.

Both of these options are now part of the order flow when purchasing your Tesla. Last night a new ‘Charging’ section was added to the Design Studio.
