The (antimicrobial treated) inflight brochure is back but it’s part of a much wider omnichannel platform

US/UK. 3Sixty Duty Free, a Miami-based global leader in omnichannel travel retail solutions, has extended its partnership with Virgin Atlantic.

3Sixty has been the inflight retail concessionaire for the UK carrier since 2014. The enhanced collaboration will bring to market what 3Sixty dubbed a ‘next-generation’ omnichannel travel retail solution supported by Omnevo (formerly known as OM3 by AOE), aimed at elevating the passenger experience and the overall travel retail commercial opportunity.

This new agreement supports a significant change aligned to the Virgin Atlantic brand experience, the partners said.

3Sixty said that the partnership will deliver a major change in the customer offer through a “state-of-the-art” ecommerce platform and a wide range of fulfilment solutions for passengers.

“This announcement sits at the very heart of 3Sixty’s omnichannel strategy – investing in our key partners and bringing to market innovative solutions. We are proud of our continued association with Virgin Atlantic and excited for the future ahead,” commented 3Sixty Duty Free Chief Operations Officer Alex Anson.

Expanding on Virgin Atlantic’s commitment to excellence – from state-of-the-art inflight entertainment to first in its class onboard amenities – the new digital shopping experience will set the bar for others to follow, the airline said.

Virgin Atlantic Head of Inflight Services Paul Mills commented: “We are delighted to take this step towards offering a seamless shopping experience to our customers in partnership with both 3Sixty and Omnevo. This new platform will allow us to offer a wider range of products and truly personalise the shopping experience for our customers.”

As well as a newly launched (antimicrobial treated for customer safety and reassurance) inflight brochure, pre-order and home delivery options are available – see Retailtherapyshopping.com (pictured above) to view the product range.

Alongside Omnevo, a leader in aviation ecommerce technology, 3Sixty is continuing to roll out its omnichannel strategy with key international airline partners.

Over recent years the company founded by entrepreneur Bernard (‘Benny’) Klepach has been leading the evolution from traditional inflight shopping into omnichannel platforms, partnering with several international airlines including the successful KrisShop joint venture with Singapore Airlines and SATS.

3Sixty said that it is leveraging the return in air traffic and focusing its investments on creating unique digital solutions.

“Combining the world-class knowledge and expertise of both 3Sixty and Omnevo, the much-anticipated omnichannel platform will redefine the travel retail industry with seamless and customer-centric integrated channels,” the company claimed.

3Sixty said that over coming months it will continue working closely with its key partners, while transforming the way travellers will shop in the near future.
