LEWISTON - Employees from Zions Bank rolled up their sleeves to help construct the 35th home for L-C Valley Habitat for Humanity. Future homeowner Danika Colvin worked alongside the Zions bankers and community volunteers to help build the home on Alder Avenue in Lewiston that will eventually house three generations of women.

This project was developed under Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build initiative, which encourages women to build and advocate for affordable housing in their communities. In addition to providing sweat equity, Zions Bank also donated $10,000 to support the project.

“Having a home of our own will completely transform my family’s life,” said Colvin. “I’m grateful to the L-C Valley Habitat for Humanity and Zions Bank for helping me create a stable environment to raise my children and give back to our community.”

“It’s no secret that Idaho is in growth mode and that’s creating new challenges for affordable housing across North and Central Idaho,” said Cari Miller, Lewiston branch manager. “We’re passionate about supporting projects like Women Build because our goal is to create value for our communities and the clients we serve.”
